Coincide with the ongoing call for proposals under the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) on Project-based Personnel Exchange Programme (PPP) jointly implemented by the NSF and DAAD, an awareness session on same was conducted by the NSF jointly with DAAD which was held on 09th October, 2025 at the NSF Auditorium. The session was attended by 60 participants comprising of scientists and researchers, research students, industrialists, R & D managers to broaden their understanding about the PPP scheme and the existing potentials to reap benefits through this programme.
Ms Shikha Sinha, Senior Advisor – International Cooperation, DAAD Regional Office New Delhi, India joined the session online and delivered some remarks while Ms Nimaya Manudewa, Regional Officer, DAAD Information Centre, Colombo joined same and delivered a presentation on the opportunities for Sri Lankan students and researchers through DAAD. Dr Sudath Samaraweera, Chairman NSF delivered the welcome and opening remarks. The joint call for proposals was opened on 01st of October and will end on 28th November, 2025.
