Dr Sepalika Sudasinghe is the Director General/CEO – National Science Foundation and a Senior Consultant to the Sri Lanka Institute of Development Administration (SLIDA). Under her leadership as the CEO and the Director General, National Science Foundation won the Gold Award in the year 2023 and 2024 for the best annual report for the first time in the NSF history at the ceremony, organized by the Association of Public Finance Accountants, Sri Lanka (APFASL) implying that the organization has reached to the highest standards of performance ensuring the principles of good governance.

Dr Sudasinghe received her basic degree from Sri Jayawardenepura University in Sri Lanka and completed her Postgraduate Diploma in Economic Development and Masters Degree in Economics from the University of Colombo and Ph.D in Development Administration specializing Public Policy Management from the National Institute of Development Administration, Thailand. She is a Visiting Professor in Management and Doctoral Advisor to Management and Science University Malaysia and maintains strong links and cordial relationships with many local and global academic institutions, training organizations in the field of public policy, administration and management.

She is a past pupil of St. Paul’s Girls’ School Milagiriya and has always demonstrated ambition and maturity on leadership been a senior prefect and segreant of the Army Women’s Cadet Platoon of the school.

Dr Sudasinghe has served as the Additional Director General and the Head of the School of Postgraduate Studies of the Sri Lanka Institute of Development Administration (SLIDA) before joining NSF. She is a proactive and highly professional individual who is having a proven track record of more than 33 years in the public sector, academic, teaching, research and administrative fields.

As an academician and a practitioner in the Sri Lanka public service, she has made a substantial contribution by investing her wealth of knowledge in training of senior civil servants, police and military officers in Sri Lanka and aboard. She has also served as a principal consultant for several national policy formulation committees and several high-level committees of the government namely Chairperson to the policy drafting committee of the National Tourism Policy Sri Lanka, National Traditional Medicine Policy, National food Security Policy (Draft) for Sri Lanka and as a facilitator for the Sri Lanka National Social Protection Policy.

Recognizing her outstanding contribution for the advancement of the field, Dr. Sudasinghe has been accoladed with multiple awards and has recognized from the Award of Leadership Excellence for her exceptional contributions and achievements in the State & Government Sector and awarded by Women in Management (WIM) in partnership with International Finance Cooperation –IFC - a member of the World Bank Group

She is a Consultant in public administration, public policy management, organizational reforms and  economic development.
