In an inspiring effort to foster team spirit, improving communication and boosting employee morale, a one-day outbound training programme was conducted on 29th August 2025 for the staff of the National Science Foundation at the Wijaya Holiday Resort, Kiriella with the following objectives.
- Enhance leadership qualities, teamwork, communication & interpersonal skills.
- Strengthen interpersonal relationships among staff members.
- Promote collaboration across Divisions.
- Enhance workplace motivation, productivity, and overall effectiveness of the NSF services.
The programme offered a series of structured outdoor activities including adventure locations facilitated by professional trainers. Staff members participated in group activities and mindfulness sessions aimed at strengthening interpersonal bonds and enhancing workplace synergy. It is envisaged that this programme yields a positive impact on staff morale, motivation, team cohesion and communication thereby contributing significantly to organizational efficiency and employee satisfaction.
This training programme was organized by the Administration Division with guidance of Dr Sepalika Sudasinghe, Director General, NSF.
