


Dr Natarajan Ishwaran is an overseas Sri Lankan professional residing in France who is currently serving as the Director – International Relations of the Deep-time Digital Earth (DDE) Programme (https://www.ddeworld.org), based in China. Being a B.Sc. (Honours) degree holder in Zoology, an M.Sc. in Animal Ecology from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka, and a Ph.D. in Wildlife Biology and Management from Michigan State University, USA, has earlier served as the Chief of the Natural Heritage Section at the World Heritage Centre, in UNESCO Paris.
He paid a visit to NSF on 17th January 2025 and discussed about possible collaborations in the fields of natural resources and ecology. Prof. Saman Senaweera (Chairman), Dr Sepalika Sudasinghe (Director General), Dr Shantha Siri (Additional Director) and Ms Thilinakumari Kandanamulla (Senior Scientific Officer of the International Affairs Division) joined the discussion from NSF.
