The NSF Director General, Dr. Sepalika Sudasinghe, attended as the Chief Guest for the 5th Biennial Conference of the College of Biochemists of Sri Lanka, which was held on 27th June 2025 in Colombo, under the theme 'Addressing Global Health Challenges with Current Trends in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.'
Addressing the gathering, she underlined the importance of transdisciplinary and convergence research approaches to bring together different scientific disciplines, as well as the NSF’s Lab-to-Market model, which supports researchers in translating laboratory findings into practical solutions to real-world problems for the benefit of society.
