National Science Foundation (NSF) Sri Lanka and Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF) are the apex bodies for the promotion and funding of scientific research and commercialization as well as science popularization. Focusing on strengthening bilateral scientific cooperation, NSF and PSF are calling for applications on joint research and development from collaborative research groups involving members from both countries.
Joint Research Projects must contribute towards the development of Industry, Technology, Process, Techniques, Prototypes, Commercialization and Innovation, leading to socio-economic development of both countries. Joint research proposals of applied nature and have industrial applications will be preferred for funding.
Who can apply:
- Sri Lankan team led by a scientist from a university/ research institute
- Pakistan team led by a scientist in HEC recognized Higher Education Institutions-HEIs, R&D organizations and Centres of Excellence

Sri Lankan and Pakistani scientists should come to an agreement using own means of communication and jointly prepare project proposals before submission to the funding agencies

- Artificial Intelligence and Cyber Security
- Smart Agriculture and Value Addition

- Maximum duration: 02 years
- Budget limit: USD 26,000
