As part of the National Integrity Week 2026, the second day was dedicated to promoting financial, digital, entrepreneurial, and technological integrity under the theme “An Ethical Digital Public Service.” In line with this initiative, the National Science Foundation (NSF) organized a guest lecture on 28th July 2026 at the NSF Auditorium to raise awareness on the potential threats associated with the delivery of digital services and the measures required to address them while maintaining institutional integrity among NSF staff with the participation of the Director General, Additional Director General, Heads of Divisions, and NSF staff members.
The lecture, titled “Cyber Security Threat Reality in Government Organizations,” was delivered by Mr. Nirosh Ananda, Chief Information Security Officer of the Sri Lanka Computer Emergency Readiness Team (SLCERT). The session provided valuable insights into emerging cybersecurity threats, risks faced by government institutions, and strategies for strengthening secure and ethical digital service delivery and contributed to strengthening cybersecurity awareness and fostering a culture of integrity, accountability, and resilience within the public service.
