Prof. Sathish Indika, Professor of Mathematics and Statistics at the Virginia Peninsula Community College, Virginia, USA visited NSF on 02nd August, 2024 to strengthen ties and to discuss potentials of collaboration. Dr Shantha Siri, Additional Director and Ms Thilinakumari Kandanamulla, Senior Scientific Officer of the International Affairs Division received him and had a cordial discussion. Prof. Naleen Ganegoda, Department of Mathematics of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, who is also a former impactful OSTP grantee of NSF also joined online.
As an outcome of this meeting, further potentials to link up with Prof. Sathish Indika in Scientific writing and S & T capacity building were identified and are being followed up.
