Intigrity LogoIn accordance with the guidelines of Circular No. PS/SB/Circular/2/2025 dated 18th February 2025, issued by the Secretary to the President, and the National Anti-Corruption Action Plan 2025 - 2029, as a key initiative in the process of curbing corruption, Internal Affairs Units (IAU) have been established in all government institutions including state owned enterprises (SOEs), in  cooperation with the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC).

The primary aim of this initiative is to assist in law enforcement, aiming to prevent corruption within government institutions, develop a culture of integrity, ensure transparency and accountability, and promote ethical governance.

Partnering in this national initiative, an Internal Affairs Unit has been established at the National Science Foundation to uphold the principles of integrity in our Institution hence ultimately contributing to accomplish the government objectives.

The Unit is dedicated to effectively serving all internal employees, stakeholders and the general public by promoting a culture of transparency, accountability, and integrity.

Key Objectives of the Internal Affairs Unit
  1. Prevent corruption in the institution and cultivate a culture of integrity.
  2. Ensure transparency and accountability in all activities of the institution and ensure public access to information regarding institutional practices and decisions.
  3. Promote ethical governance within the institution
  4. Develop a secure and accessible system to encourage reporting misconduct, protect whistleblowers and maintain confidentiality.
  5. Support legal enforcement through collaboration with law enforcement agencies and the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC).
