International Science Council (ISC) Fellowship 2026
Call for Expressions of Interest (EoIs)

International Science Council (ISC) has announced the Call for Nominations for the ISC Fellowship 2026, a prestigious recognition awarded to eminent social and natural scientist and thought leaders from the science-policy spheres who have made remarkable contributions to furthering the understanding, use and engagement of science, particularly at the global or transnational level.
The 2026 call invites nominations of individuals with exceptional track record in areas such as promoting science for the global good, providing scientific leadership at regional or international levels, advancing the global voice of science, developing major scientific initiatives and structures, and demonstrating significant scientific accomplishments. Nominations are particularly encouraged from mid-career researchers as well as researchers in engineering and other underrepresented disciplines. The ISC also welcomes nominations of scientists working in the private sector and international development, along with influential non-scientists engaged in the science-policy interface, including science journalists, education innovators, and media professionals.
Holders of this prestigious position are expected to be established professionals with a strong track record in science for society and/or science-policy engagement from Sri Lanka. They will be selected on a competitive basis by NSF to be nominated according to the ISC requirements.
Accordingly, suitably qualified and interested candidates are invited to submit their Expression of Interest (EoI) to NSF i.e., comprehensive Curriculum Vitae together with all supplementary information as mentioned in the ISC call, before the stipulated deadline. Being the national focal point, NSF will review all submissions and select the best to be nominated to ISC.
